"Oil painting is my main medium. With a focus on skill of this technique it is the observation and experience of reality that make my topics and compositions. Of these are mostly people. Or rather, a person, one character which you, as a viewer, are invited to ingage in dialogue with, share its intimacy, alleged stillnes and a possible beauty. It is the so-called figurative realism, descriptive clarity of the painted themes that allow you to ask not “what” is being painted, but “why”. Life, death, hate, love, fear, fight between good and evil, yet displaying hope that can lay within aesthetics of the pictured. How objective can these very subjective thoughts and emotions be? I believe that there is a common essential understanding or a feeling of such topics, allegories that we share through the past centuries of art history, and so my effort is to continue and reflect these in our time.
